If a rumor spreading around the net this morning turns out to be accurate, it looks like we may expect to hear a lot of Westside Connection on the soundtrack to the next Grand Theft Auto. VG247 reports (absurdly) that according to a mysterious anonymous source, Rockstar has chosen Hollywood as the setting -- or at least the inspiration for the probably fictional setting -- of Grand Theft Auto 5. And if a bizarre dialogue with an anonymous source seems a bit of a stretch to believe on its own, note that Eurogamer also later reported this morning

Gears of War 3 had some of the most strategic multiplayer at E3. It makes us wonder: has design director Cliff Bleszinski been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 lately? As part of E3, Epic provided hands-on time with Gears 3's new "Beast Mode," in which players finally take control of the franchise's antagonists, the Locusts. Think Horde Mode meets The Trojan Women. Players can co-op as a hodgepodge of Locust species -- from Maulers to Wretches -- to slaughter A.I.-controlled human scum. Each of these species comes bundled with distinct controls and style-of-play.

It's been a number of months since we first had a look at Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. We've marveled at how Activision read our minds by introducing a first-person mode, endlessly speculated what each of the four dimensions will be, and even overanalyzed a leaked GameStop DLC photo.
